I own three ceramic knives and love them so had high expectations for this one. It won't even cut a tomato without squashing it and I had to push extra hard to get it to cut through a green pepper. It does feel sturdy and I like the handle but I'm not sure what it's good for because it isn't for cutting.

I agree with other reviewers that this knife is not sharp enough, but it isn't entirely useless either. It made slicing a watermelon a cinch. Most people are complaining that it doesn't slice a tomato, but a true tomato knife is serrated because the skin is tough. This has a smooth edge so it is like a large paring knife. For most vegetables and fruits this knife works fine. I bought it on Black Friday for a cheap price so I'm happy with it. If I would have paid full retail I would have been disappointed.

Bought this knife as part of a gold box deal. I was exited to check out my first ceramic knife and see how it compares to my nice kitchen knives. This knife is not sharp. You can find a $10 Walmart knife that cuts better, so don't waste your money buying this one. I returned mine. Great customer service amazon!!
